 Sealed bids will be received for the Lift I, Cells 1 thru 13, Toombs County - S1898, Phase III, Municipal Solid Waste Landfill, in the Toombs County Courthouse @ 100 Courthouse Square, Lyons, Ga., 30436, until 11:00 A.M. (Local Time),  Thursday December 10th, 2009, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

      The work under this Contract (Lift I, Cells 11 thru 13, Toombs County - S 1898, Phase III, Municipal Solid Waste Landfill) will consist generally of the following:

      The construction of:

Excavation and grading of + 7.8 acres of lined landfill, including select backfill, sand leachate collection blanket, #89 stone and #57 stone collection blanket, clay liner sub-base, + 3,165 LF of 6" PVC perforated under drain piping, + 300 LF of 8" PVC header piping, stormwater erosion and sedimentation control measures and appurtenances. The installation of + 315,000 SF of 60 MIL HDPE geomembrane liner, + 350 LF anchor trench, + 1,150 LF temporary anchor trench; including testing, pipe boots and appurtenances. The installation of + 3,105 LF of 6" perforated HDPE pipe, + 450 LF of 8" non-perforated HDPE pipe; six (6) HDPE manholes, storm drain diversion piping and all associated appurtenances necessary for a complete job.

All work on the Project must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed.
