City of Hazlehurst, Georgia - Advertisement for Bid:

Airport Runway Improvements:

 Division I -  Airfield Improvements

Division II - Airfield Lighting System

     Sealed bids will be received for the Airport Runway Improvements, Division I - Airfield Improvements and Division II - Airfield Lighting System, in the Hazlehurst City Hall, until  11:00 AM (Local Time),  Wednesday June 29th, 2011, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

City of Hazlehurst Airport Runway Improvements construction of:

The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:

Division I - Airfield Improvements :

Division I shall consist of earthwork, drainage, base and paving,  marking and other incidental items of work associated with the construction of a 500 foot airport runway  extension. Erosion control measures and all associated appurtenances necessary for a complete job.

Division II - Airfield Lighting System :

The construction of the airfield lighting system, which consists of + 28,760 LF of cables and wires: + 14 EA globes; and miscellaneous improvements for the installation of the airfield lighting system. Erosion control measures and all associates appurtenances necessary for a complete job.

All work on the Project must be completed within 210 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed.

The Owner reserves the right to award the contract for Division I to the lowest responsible bidder for Division I and to award the contract for Division II to the lowest responsible bidder for Division II. The same Contractor may bid both divisions. Separate contracts shall be awarded for Division I and Division II. Each Contractor shall allow the other Contractor to have access to the job site.
